In architectural photography, the effect of converging lines is often unwanted and can be avoided by using a perspective control lens. These shift lenses are mechanically and optically more complex than standard lenses, so they are comparatively expensive. The software ShiftN offers another way to correct converging lines. All corrections are done automatically by evaluation of vertical edges without any user interaction needed.

 I use it for a long time and it works fine.
 Dears,several days ago I installed Your programm, but it somehow doesn´t work.Always when I open the photograhp in the programm,it shows me, that en error occured while trying to read the file. Is it possible to correct it or reinstall? Thank You for Your advice
Love it very easy to use and produces excellent results.
I was looking for a piece of software that would let me correct vertical perspectives for pictures of buildings. ShiftN is amazingly easy to use and does an excellent job.It does not correct horizontal perspective shifts (like being over to the left side of a building) and it does not let you (really) second-guess its detection of supposed-to-be-vertical lines. But it does not pretend to do those things.If you download this, consider giving a donation to the author.
 Function is useful at first glance, but would be improved if there was a button to loss-free turn the image prior to correction. Otherwise these have to be turned by hand in another programme.
I tried out shftn 3.5.1 now and I like it very much. It really does what it is advertised to do. It even has a batch function which could be very usefull. Great program would and did recomend it to my friends.
